The CareGiver Partnership Announces Expansion of its Comprehensive Caregiver Resources

The No. 1 caregiver resource library — including important information on housing, caregiving, financial, and products and services — doubles to more than 1,000 resources.

Quickly and easily find care giving resources from over 1,000
Providing comprehensive caregiver resources to 44 million family caregivers, The CareGiver Partnership is doubling the number of resources it offers. Users find free online information on health and wellness, aging in place, and a host of products and services. Caregivers who are customers also have access to expert advice from The CareGiver Partnership’s Mayo Clinic-trained nutritionist and physician assistant, who specializes in kidney diseases, diabetes, cancer, wound healing, therapeutic diets and nutrition support.

“Caregivers are frantic, frazzled and frustrated. We’ve spoken with tens of thousands of caregivers and their loved ones from coast to coast and we hear this every day,” says Lynn Wilson, founder of The CareGiver Partnership. “Whether you’re caring for your 81-year-old mother who suffers from COPD, or your husband who is recovering from prostate surgery, we’re here to provide support that will help find answers to caregiving questions. We also offer telephone consultation as it relates to products and supplies that can help make home caregiving easier while enhancing the dignity of a loved one, which is our focus.”

The CareGiver Partnership also has teamed up with Healthy Monday, a national public health campaign. A project of Columbia University, Johns Hopkins and Syracuse University, it has the support of 40 leading schools of public health and major health advocacy organizations, including the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association and the American Cancer Society. “We encourage caregivers to commit Mondays toward maintaining their health and safety,” Wilson says.

At http://www.caregiverpartnership.com/resources/categories, caregivers and their loved ones have access to an extensive library of resources that address the common questions and concerns, such as safety at home, long-term care, legal and financial issues, and health conditions and diseases. This library is fully vetted and continually updated, and includes educational videos. Unlike other caregiver resource sites, The CareGiver Partnership does not accept advertising, so it remains 100 percent objective, and the service is complimentary, while others can charge up to $240 per year.

Based on ongoing research with caregivers, The CareGiver Partnership has expanded its library to more than 1,000 resources. Each one is fully vetted and the library is continually monitored and updated.  Caregivers also will be able to establish an online network of support through chats with other caregivers in the near future.
