Bladder Control Problems For Menopausal Women

Try Poise Hourglass
Menopause is something all women go through, some surgically, others naturally. While no woman on the planet will miss her period when it ceases, saying goodbye to the menstrual cycle is not all fun and games. In fact, menopause comes with a whole host of not so fun side effects and issues. These include things like hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, insomnia, weight gain, and even light bladder leakage (LBL).
The effects of vaginal childbirth on pelvic tissues as well as decreased estrogen that occur during menopause may cause or contribute to LBL. Bladder control problems, while a natural part of menopause for many women, are none-the-less embarrassing. No woman wants to suffer the embarrassment of leaks or odor from light bladder leakage, but often the feminine care products used for dealing with periods just aren’t enough to manage urine leaks. A product designed specifically for LBL is more effective.

The estrogen changes experienced during menopause, along with age, and other factors, can lead to urine leakage; as many as 30% of American women age 50-64 have LBL. Poise took note of this, and in 1992, they released pads designed specifically for bladder leakage, providing superior protection to that offered by period only products.

In 2012, Poise introduced the Poise Hourglass, which is a pad designed for LBL that offers greater comfort driven by a better fitting, hourglass shape as well as improved odor control.

The Poise Hourglass is designed specifically for women over age forty-five, that are carrying a few extra pounds, and are experiencing menopause and LBL that can go along with it. Why would Poise design an incontinence pad specifically for this demographic? Often, women who are not petite find that their pads bunch, twist, or rope and this can lead to leakage. The Poise Hourglass was designed to fit you, and prevent these problems. Because it is a relatively new product, many have not yet tried Poise Hourglass to help manage their LBL, but 43% of those that have, make the switch.

In addition to being designed for menopausal women, it is targeted for LBL, offers a feminine design, and offers three absorbencies. The Poise Hourglass pad can help you get through some of the toughest parts of menopause with your dignity in tact. They are a great option, especially if regular sized incontinence pads simply don’t provide sufficient coverage for you, or twist, rope and leak. You can sample a pack of 4 pads for just $3.49 handling.
