Your Solution to ABL Management

The B-Sure Management solution you've been looking for.
ABL, which stands for Accidental Bowel Leakage, is the accidental passing of stool or mucus from the rectum. It is a condition that impacts men and women. In fact, 20% of women over the age of 40 have been shown to experience symptoms of ABL according to studies, and a similar number of men. While most of these only experience light to moderate leakage, it can still impact and disrupt normal life, and lead to frustration and discomfort.

There are a number of risk factors for ABL, from childbirth to chronic diarrhea. Some of the common causes include:
  • Prostate surgery
  • Childbirth
  • Diseases that impact the nervous system
  • Urinary incontinence
  • Being overweight
  • Gall bladder removal
  • IBS
  • Hemorroids
  • Chronic Diarrhea
Treatment for ABL depends on the cause and the severity. ABL is often a symptom of an underlying problem. If those problems are treated, often the ABL can be corrected. For example, inflammation of the bowel, IBS, and bowel infection may cause ABL, and it is possible it could be treated with medication.

Chronic diarrhea and constipation can lead to ABL, and can be treated with dietary changes and medications. If the ABL continues after these changes it may be caused by damage due to the constipation or diarrhea. Damage to the rectum, sphincter muscles, or other parts of the bowel may require surgery to correct.

Another treatment option is biofeedback or muscle training and strengthening exercises for the pelvic floor muscles. This can increase control.

Other treatment options include replacing the sphincter muscle, or colostomy.

While correcting the underlying problems, and for those with problems that can’t be completely corrected, management is a very important consideration. Many products are available for urinary incontinence, but options for those dealing with ABL are limited or not as useful, as they may be bulky, uncomfortable, and not discreet. However, B-Sure Absorbent Pads offer the protection those dealing with ABL need without all the negative side-effects.

B-Sure Absorbent Pads a great option for a person with ABL because they are not bulky, or difficult to use. They offer a highly absorbent option that is both discreet and effective for light ABL.

This pad offers a unique butterfly design for easy application and to help the pad stay in place during normal activity without the need for any sort of tape or adhesive. This improves comfort and usability.

The pad is meant for light ABL, and can absorb up to thirteen times its weight in fluid. It is easy to change, and can be changed no matter where you are, at home, or in a public restroom stall. It is also easy to dispose of, as it is flushable and biodegradable, although it is not septic safe.

The thin B-Sure Absorbent Pads offer solutions that are affordable, discreet, comfortable, and much more convenient than traditional incontinence products, giving those with ABL the means and confidence to maintain a happy, social, and active lifestyle.
