  • Incontinence underwear-Not to long ago men with incontinence were left having to use unisex incontinence products or worse yet, incontinence products for women. Today, manufacturers of adult incontinence products understand that men have very specific needs when it comes to incontinence underwear and other incontinence undergarments. Men who are experiencing incontinence can choose from a wide variety of incontinence underwear that comes in many different styles. From boxers to briefs men can wear incontinence undergarments that provide them with the highest levels of incontinence protection while still providing comfort and discretion.  For men with moderate to severe incontinence there are a number of different styles of adult diapers that provide an even higher level of incontinence protection. Adult diapers come in pull on and pull off styles and have tear away sides for easy removal and changing.
  • Incontinence pads-There are a number of different incontinence pads for men. For men who are experiencing only light incontinence there is an incontinence pad known as a drip collector. This type of incontinence pad is an absorbent padded sheath that goes around the penis. Many men use them in normal underwear since they are attached by an adhesive strip. For more severe incontinence a guard can be the appropriate type of incontinence pad to use. Keep in mind that it may take some trial and error before finding the right type of incontinence pad that works for your needs.
  • Penile clamps-This type of incontinence product for men is also known as a external compression device. This works by exerting a small amount of pressure on the penis and closes off the urethra which then stops any potential leaks and accident. The clamp is generally padded and should not cause any discomfort. However, they do require some getting used to. Men who decide to use the penile clamp as their incontinence product should be aware that it is not designed to be used for more then a few hours at a time. Prolonged use of the penile clamp can lead to circulation problems, skin and vascular damage, and the potential for urinary tract infections. You should also consult with your doctor before you begin using a penile clamp.
  • External catheters and drainage bags-For some men the right incontinence product is an external catheter and drainage bag that is used to control leakage. Many men choose to use this type of urine collection system at night in order to prevent night waking. This type of product does need consultation with your doctor in order to be effective at helping to manage incontinence.
